Store holds month long offers event
CLOTHES and homeware store TK Maxx is shunning the now annual shopping madness that is Black Friday.
The chain, which has a store in The Crescent in Hinckley, has instead opted for a month-long bargain bash throughout November.
Promising deals on shoes, designer brands and tech, the retailer says a different pop-up event each week will replace a oneoff Black Friday bonanza.
Deborah Dolce, group brand and marketing director, at TK Maxx said: “Our whole concept means that we ‘do’ Black Friday 365 days a year, but from the 1st November this year we will be celebrating everything that TK Maxx stands for, by ramping up our offer.
“We will have a full month of fantastic products coming in to store and online every day featuring our favourite designers from around the world.
“With huge savings and big brand names, it’s shopping as usual with us, but with even more gems to snap up.”
Black Friday, a shopping tradi- tion imported from America, has gathered in popularity in recent years.
However after scenes of shoppers fighting each other for bargains, some retailers have begun to shun the concept in favour of longer-term sales ahead of Christmas.
