Robot dino at Twycross Zoo this week

A ROBOT di­nosaur will be stomp­ing around Twycross Zoo as a roar­ing fi­nale for the end of the year.

The 17ft long an­i­moa­tronic T-Rex and its newly hatched ba­bies is mak­ing an ap­pear­ance to help fam­i­lies beat the post-Christ­mas blues, with chil­dren able to get up close to the di­nosaurs.

Free en­try is also avail­able for peo­ple who work in ed­u­ca­tion, in­clud­ing teach­ers, Early Years Foun­da­tion Stage prac­ti­tion­ers and ed­u­ca­tion sup­port work­ers.

Ac­com­pa­ny­ing fam­ily and friends get a dis­counted en­try.

The Hi­malaya restau­rant is open to vis­i­tors un­til 9pm on Fri­day, which will have sea­sonal dec­o­ra­tions and fes­tive foods on of­fer.

Vis­i­tors can meet the di­nosaurs from Fri­day De­cem­ber 29 to Sun­day De­cem­ber 31, while the of­fer for teach­ers and their fam­i­lies runs from Tues­day De­cem­ber 26 to Sun­day De­cem­ber 31.

Twycross Zoo is open to the pub­lic from 10am to 5pm daily.
