Gritters rarely seen around important roads

Hinckley Times - - NEWS -

HERE we go again, another spate of snow and ice and like the abominable snowman, gritters rarely seen. Living on Laneside Drive which is a busy through road to Barwell Lane and towards Asda we have to endure a dangerous icy road with a sharp bend due to no gritting.

I have approached Leicestershire County Council Highways Dept on many occasions and the last response was that a road needs Two thousand cars per hour for it to be gritted. Where’s this road, the M6?

Come on Hinckley and Bosworth council use your influence and make our roads safer for everybody. Is’nt this what we pay our council tax for?

Mrs Ann Burrows, Hinckley
