Mrs Brown adjourned the inquest until January.

She added: “I would like to offer my sincere condolences to the family for their loss.”

A Leicestershire Police spokeswoman previously said that the driver of the Mazda was unhurt in the incident.

Crash investigators were appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash, or motorists with dash cam footage of it, to get in touch.

Detective Constable John Borlase said: “At the time of the collision, the Mazda was travelling towards Huncote while the motorbike was travelling towards Stoney Stanton.
