Two in­jured in crash

THREE people had to be taken to hos­pi­tal af­ter a two car crash in Stan­ton un­der Bar­don.

Cliff Hill Road was tem­po­rar­ily closed af­ter the ca­su­al­ties were in­jured in the col­li­sion on Septem­ber 8 at around 10.40pm.

Fire crews had to res­cue two of the ca­su­al­ties who were left trapped in their ve­hi­cles.

Le­ices­ter­shire Fire and Res­cue said in an update on its web­site: “Both ca­su­al­ties de­scribed as trapped were walked free from ve­hi­cles by Paramedics af­ter as­sess­ment, 1 ca­su­alty was con­veyed to Queens Med­i­cal Cen­tre, the 2nd ca­su­alty was con­veyed to Le­ices­ter Royal in­fir­mary.

“The 3rd ca­su­alty not trapped was assessed by paramedics and taken to Le­ices­ter Royal in­fir­mary also.”

Crews from Coalville and West­ern fires sta­tions attended.

Po­lice also attended the in­ci­dent.
