We are proud to have helped with council’s summer events

Hinckley Times - - LETTERS -

LAST week representatives of Hinckley and Burbage Churches Together met to review past events and future plans for the remainder of 2018 with special focus on community outreach during the Christmas period.

Reviewing our first involvement with the Borough Council’s August Snapdragon event it was agreed that we should publicly express our thanks to Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council.

Snapdragon was an amazing five days, so well organised and free of charge, that attracted hundreds of families and thankfully we were blessed with five days of beautiful sunshine.

Events like this require meticulous planning and manning and this we shouldn’t take for granted as the Borough Council is largely unique in the provision of so many community initiatives planned throughout the year.

As Churches Together we were asked to serve refreshments and volunteers from several of the town churches were tasked to man the drinks gazebo. Supporting Snapdragon was a privilege and we look forward to future opportunities working closely with a council that cares and works for its community John Moore Chairman of Hinckley and Burbage Churches Together
