For two decades Damien Lewis worked as a war and con­flict re­porter for ma­jor broad­cast­ers, re­port­ing from across Africa, South Amer­ica, the Mid­dle and Far East, dur­ing which time he won nu­mer­ous awards for his jour­nal­ism. In 2003 he wrote his first book about elite mil­i­tary op­er­a­tions, Op­er­a­tion Cer­tain Death,

which was a Sun­day Times top ten best­seller. Lewis’s elite forces books Bloody He­roes and Fire Strike 7/9 were Sun­day Times top ten best­sellers, and his most re­cent in that genre, Zero Six Bravo, was a Sun­day Times num­ber one best­seller. At Malvern he will be giv­ing a talk on his book SAS: Ghost Pa­trol.
