“I sourced my kitchen online”

I needed units of varying widths to maximise on storage in what is quite a narrow room. Luckily, I came across online supplier DIY Kitchens who offer units of varying dimensions at an affordable price point. I had to design the kitchen myself, but the units cost under £3k and were delivered rigid assembled, ready to be installed.

Other cost-saving measures included sourcing items such as the sink and appliances (including the ex-display Smeg cooker hood) separately. Approaching kitchen design in this piecemeal manner does require time and effort, but can certainly save a not-so-insignificant sum. CLAIRE LLOYD, EDITOR
