ADMIRE THE VIEW
C urtains, blinds and shutters all enjoy a dual role: they frame your view of the outside world, while at the same time adding an important element to your interior scheme. Before you settle on your window treatment, consider the overall e ect you want to create and how the di erent options will contribute to this. Take the size of your room and the dimensions of your window into account – smaller openings can be overwhelmed by elaborate drapes that would look dramatic hanging around loftier windows. Think too about the outlook; windows that are overlooked or have an unremarkable view can be made pretty and private using semi- sheer fabrics or louvred shutters. Meanwhile, simple solutions that leave the glass clear are best for those with a pleasing aspect.
