Surely the French home, o"en with its nod to the country’s rich history and that oh-so e ortless manner the nation exudes, is among the most inspiring and coveted of interiors styles? So, this month, we are celebrating our neighbour’s contribution to interiors and antiques. From our take on the provincial French home (p40), to the country’s best brocantes (p149), plus a boho apartment in Bordeaux, we’ve plenty to inspire Francophiles this issue. We also have tours of stunning homes for you back on British soil – all of which have an accomplished, timeless feel (from page 55). On the subject of design classics, we tell the story of the Anglepoise lamp on page 111 – did you know it was created by a British car engineer?
