Tom is a furniture and lighting designer who creates products out of wood using the historic method of steam bending. You may have seen his home, a masterpiec­e of Tom’s steam- bending abilities, on Channel 4’s Grand Designs.

‘ It’s the work of French product designer Ronan Bouroullec that I love, especially his furniture. He designed a range for Hay with his brother – look out for the Élémentair­e chair.’

Penny is an Australia- born interiors and lifestyle photograph­er based in south London. She’s often found travelling around the British countrysid­e photograph­ing creative and inspiring homes. When not shooting, she usually has a book in her hands. ‘ I love low-key, simple design and don’t think you can go wrong with a Parisian park chair, like the Luxembourg armchair by Fermob.’
