Discover a different side to the French capital with collective @seemyparis

How would you describe your Instagram account?

When we started we thought there were too many Instagram accounts showing the Eiffel Tower, macarons, sunsets and pastel perfection. We wanted to share a more unpretentious side of the city: a picture of daily life and the people living here. Admittedly, it’s still on the pretty side – this is Instagram after all. We also wanted variety, so the five of us post alternately and every Saturday we feature a picture from another account with the hashtag #seemyparis.

Who would you recommend we follow and why?

I would recommend some of the accounts that are part of the @seemyparis collective, of course, but we also love to follow @jasminetartine for her quiet, poetic view of Paris and the beautiful, stolen shots of the Parisians who make up the city.
