In the spring of 1717, a team of gardeners broke ground to lay out the formal parterre and avenues of the gardens at Mount Stuart, mountstu, on the Isle of Bute, off the west coast of Scotland. Make the trip to see this notable garden during its 300th anniversary year, while learning about its unique horticultural heritage and discovering which plants have survived from the original collection. As well as the gardens, glorious surrounding woodland and nearby beach, the spectacular Victorian Neo-gothic country house is a must-see.
