FROM PONY CLUB TO HOYS

THERE was a double celebration after 16-year-old Lauren Church and Birchgrove Ross won the 153cm working hunter pony class, as this was a first HOYS qualification for the rider and pony. The Northamptonshire-based pair then went on to take the championship.

“We’re beyond thrilled,” said Lauren’s mother Sarah. “Ross is only just back after a field injury that kept him out for a year. He’s a proper pony who does everything and has a lovely, level mind. He was doing Pony Club area team dressage yesterday.”
