ROYAL DOULTON The Lang family’s prolific winning hack, intermediate and part-bred Arab campaigner has died at the age of 21. The gelding was twice runner-up at both Horse of the Year Show and the Royal International, and took titles at the Arab Horse Society national championships.
YEALAND PREACHERMAN “Jeremy” has been put down, aged 26, due to colic. “He was one of the most consistent 153cm show hunter ponies, qualifying for Horse of the Year Show for nine years,” said his owner, rider and producer, Kate Hounsom.
WAIKARE Kiwi dressage rider Kallista Field’s former grand prix ride has died, aged 31. The 16hh bay Hanoverian mare by Witzbold was placed 18th individually at the 2000 Olympic Games before retiring at Kallista’s base in Pahiatua, New Zealand.
