An H&H-er was sur­prised to be asked by the cashier in the petrol sta­tion when she stopped to re­fill her lorry, “Are you go­ing racing?” “No, jump­ing,” she said, to which the cashier replied: “Oh. Have you got a para­chute?” Maybe that’s where we’ve been go­ing wrong all th­ese years…


The times for West Wilts Horse Tri­als caused a few raised eye­brows, with a num­ber of sec­tions’ dres­sage due to start at 7.30am. Might pure showjump­ing start to look a lit­tle more invit­ing…?
