‘THE STANDARD WAS SO HIGH’
LYNN PAISLEY was thrilled to win her first Scottish title with Jura Of Meggernie in the prelim bronze.
“We were early to go and the standard was high. I watched the tests of the second and third placed and thought no way can I beat them; their tests looked flawless. It was tense watching the scoreboard as I was so early on,” admitted Lynn, who rode the Highland gelding to
qualify for the Horse of the Year Show at Blair Castle just nine days previously.
“Jura is such a straightforward pony who always tries and never argues. Now it’s all about getting ready for
Horse of the Year Show, mostly hacking and a couple of trips to the beach to sharpen up his transitions and work on getting him uphill and his shoulders up.”
