A CHANGE of bit three weeks ago paid off for Seventh Heaven III.

“She’s a huge-moving horse and has taken time to settle,” explained her rider, Katie James. “She had a bit of a fright at the summer regionals and ran through her changes.”

Thanks to suggestions by bitting experts Mary Westie and Hilary Vernon the decision to switch bits has proved successful.

“She’s now in a response snaffle which has a thinner mouthpiece, with more curvature and a flatter lozenge. I feel it’s made a huge difference, she is more rideable,” added Katie.
