A LAST-MINUTE SUB
TINA KAZMI and her charming skewbald, Colour Me Aftershock, were a last-minute substitution to complete the Solihull team and bravely took on the challenge, despite only having been back in the saddle for four weeks.
A jumping fall from “Shedley” caused a plateau tibial fracture and her knee now has the addition of plates and pins. Karen, who works as a project manager, was in a wheelchair for three months and only began walking in July.
“My knee’s wrapped with sports tape and I can only ride for short periods,” she explained. “I have to shorten my warm-up. I wasn’t put off riding Shedley — he’s too lovely to be put off.”
