‘HE’S ONLY BEEN BACK IN WORK A MONTH’
A WELSH section C gelding posted a memorable victory in the 133cm workers, scoring 91 from a possible 100 marks. Derbyshire-based livery yard owner Jodie Haywood had few expectations for her eight-year-old Glynceirch Amlyn, though, who suffered a tendon injury after qualifying at Royal Cheshire County.
“The pony has only been back in work a month,” said worker specialist Jo Callwood, who helps the pair. “I just told Jodie to ride him as normal — it was a really flowing course so it was vital to keep moving on.”
