WHY THE BULLYING?

Horse & Hound - - Letters -

Sir — I was interested to read

Sara Crowley’s letter about racism in showing (14 September) and learn of her plans on your website to launch a campaign about poor conduct and bullying in showing.

It’s sad to hear that this unsavoury behaviour has such a devastating effect on someone’s desire to enjoy their hobby — so much so that they give it up so they “can’t be victimised”.

It can be the same on some livery yards with people telling you what to do and how to do things better. Do we really need these added pressures when all we want to do is relax and spend time with our horses?

It’s time that the industry stood up and took responsibility in whatever discipline so that we can all enjoy our horses.
