Martin bred his eight-year-old mare by Moorfield Manor Mac out of Woodhouse Dewdrop.
“She’s not the biggest mare, but she has tremendous action with great feet and bone,” said Martin.
Having been a consistent winner, Hannah Bradley’s Ujeniks Dudes Sombrero rounded off his season by winning the miniature horse final.
“Small as he is, we call him ‘Baby’ at home because he never grew,” said Hannah.
Baby was champion here as a two-year-old colt in 2014 and this season the skewbald gelding was supreme restricted champion at the miniature horse of Great Britain show.
At the end of another tremendous week, the curtain came down on a wonderful showcase of the best of British show horses. From the finesse of the hack and side-saddle classes to the gung-ho gallops of the hunters, the high standard of ridejudging was one of the highlights and the show lived up to its name of the Horse of the Year Show.
