FOUR new combinations have been selected onto the British Equestrian Federation (BEF) Excel Talent Programme for 2017-2019. Charlotte Dicker (Obsessions’ Quickstep), Angus Corrie-Deane (Tiny Tempur), Fiona Brennan (De Angelis II) and Emma Bond (Lime Walk) will join Victoria Maw, Charlotte Murgatroyd and Rebecca Bell, who have returned to the squad this year.

“This is beyond my dreams and I had to read the letter twice to take it in,” said Angus on Facebook. “The programme covers riding and much more — such an opportunity to learn from the best in the business.”

Three para dressage riders have also been newly inducted. They are Marcelle Ward (grade IV) with Dornroeschen, Diane Green (grade I) with Gunstone’s Pride, Mari Durward-Akhurst (grade I) with Sky O’Hara and Georgia Wilson (grade II) with Chico III.
