No bridle? No problem...

Horse & Hound - - News Insider -

WHO needs a bridle? Not Ben Stockley, who surprised followers of the Bicester with Whaddon Chase when he turned up with his horse sporting a headcollar.

It was not deliberate on Ben’s part, he just forgot his bridle.

“I was running late because I put the wrong postcode into my sat nav, and there wasn’t time to rummage through friends’ lorries for a bridle, so I just thought, ‘sod it’, and hopped on,” he confessed.

Also seen sporting the look recently was US rider Melanie FerrioWise and her horse Wings (“Vlad”), who competed in a $10,000 jumping class in just a neckstrap.

“I didn’t do it for attention,” Melanie said. “I did it for Vlad.”
