THE char­ity founder and equine wel­fare cam­paigner died on 12 Septem­ber, aged 81.

She worked as a groom on Revesby Es­tate in Lin­colnshire and ran a branch of the Rid­ing for the Dis­abled As­so­ci­a­tion in Skeg­ness.

She was a founder mem­ber of Der­byshire Horse­watch, and in 2000, started Ken­stud Pony Res­cue char­ity.

Friend He­len Jackson said Ms Manger gave all her en­ergy to “care and love of all things equine”, adding:

“Lesley was also an avid reader of H&H, and was rarely seen with­out a copy.”
