Chloe Reid’s star part­ner, who made three Na­tions

Cup ap­pear­ances for Team USA and fin­ished third in last July’s five-star grand prix in Fal­sterbo, has died sud­denly aged 11. An au­topsy re­vealed the stal­lion had can­cer.

Even­ter turned para dres­sage rider Char­lotte Cun­dall has taken the ride on the 12-year-old KWPN geld­ing. Bam­bam was pre­vi­ously cam­paigned in­ter­na­tion­ally at in­ter I level by Rob Waine, and com­peted by para gold medal­list Natasha Baker.

The stal­lion showjumper has died at the age 29. Among his suc­cesses was vic­tory in the 2002 World Cup fi­nals in Leipzig, un­der Ger­many’s Otto Becker. “He was fit to the end and had a very good life,” said Otto.
