WHERE TO FIND SUPPORT
BEAT has advice available for people struggling — and those who think a friend or family might need help — online (beateatingdisorders.org.uk).
This includes a “first steps” leaflet to help people prepare to speak to a doctor, as well as tips about how to start a conversation and where to find the right help.
“Becky is working really hard to raise awareness about eating disorders and Beat’s support services,” a spokesman for the charity told H&H.
“Her venture is a brilliant way to help raise awareness and ensure we can continue to help those struggling.
“By raising awareness and talking about her experience, she will help us support even more people than ever to access free help and information via Beat’s helplines, online support groups, and message boards.”
