THE BIG NEW TREND

We’re seeing a resurgence in studio ceramics, both for the table top and also as decorative interiors pieces. Beautifully glazed bowls, for example, have moved from inside the kitchen cupboard and are now proudly displayed in the living room. Many of these pieces have amazing, reactive glazes and textured shapes, which look wonderful when delicious food is lovingly served in them.

PERSONAL FAVOURITE

The ridged bowls from Studio Craft showcase the textural glazes and wood-inspired hues that I love.

TOP TIPS

Re-purpose your tableware; use a tall bowl as a plant pot or ridged bowl as a display piece on your table.

Choose tableware that’s beautiful and practical – make sure it’s dishwasher safe.

Be brave with colours and textures – for instance, give everybody a different coloured plate or bowl.
