BASED on the memoir by Elizabeth Gilbert, Eat Pray Love is a travelogue about a divorced woman’s journey of self-enlightenment. Following the break-up of her marriage, magazine writer Liz (Julia Roberts) embarks on a year-long odyssey in Rome, followed by a sojourn at an Indian Ashram where she meets a Texan called Richard (Richard Jenkins) and 17-year-old Tulsi (Rushita Singh). Then in Bali, Liz continues to search for sustenance for her wounded soul, including a pleasant flirtation with divorced dad Felipe (Javier Bardem). Roberts is luminous against breath-taking locations, although at 134 minutes, Eat Pray Love is a long-haul. To clear his debts he must smuggle in drugs from Mexico, and approaches stripper Rose (Jennifer Aniston, pictured with Sudeikis) Casey and neighbour Kenny (Will Poulter) to pose as his family.
