Search like a boss in IOS 13

Accessing the IOS search function and using it to find what you need, when you need it…

You can also perform searches straight from your IOS 13 Lock screen – just perform the same gestures as before to bring up the search field.

Search in app

By going to Settings> Siri & Search, you can enable more and more apps to be included in your searches. Just tap on them and then enable the ‘Show in Search’ option.

Swipe down

You can bring up the IOS search field by swiping down from the middle of your Home screen. Alternatively, swipe to the right to access your widgets screen, which includes a search field.

Speak selections

By tapping on the microphone icon that appears to the right of the search field before you start typing, you can speak what you want to search for. This can be a great time-saver or handy for when typing is tricky.

Take it deeper

If you tap on the ‘Search in App’ option, the corresponding app will be automatically launched and a search for your original selection will be instantly made.
