Install and set up Gboard

1 Download Gboard

To use Gboard, you need to download it first so go to the App Store and search for Gboard. After you have installed it, open the Settings app and go to General>keyboard.

2 Add a new keyboard

Tap the option Keyboards at the top of the screen and the settings will show you the keyboards you currently have at your disposal. To include Gboard, tap ‘Add New Keyboard’.

3 Select Gboard

Since you have just installed it, you should now see Gboard within the list of your third-party IOS keyboards. Simply tap this entry to begin using it.

4 Allow full access

The keyboard will now appear under your main keyboard list. Tap the entry again and toggle the option ‘Allow Full Access’. You will be prompted to confirm this so select ‘Allow’.

5 Alter the settings

Press the Home button and open Gboard. There are lots of settings available to you here so go down the lists under Keyboard settings, Search settings and Themes.

6 Use the keyboard

Now press Home to quit and open any app that makes use of a keyboard such as Notes. When a keyboard appears, tap the globe icon and select Gboard from the list.
