A quick guide to the interface

1 Browse the suggestions

Youtube Music’s home screen is packed with suggestions and it is different every time the app is started. Swipe up and down and left and right to view albums and artists.

2 Search for music

Google is the search king and the search box at the top is a great way to find music. Tap it and start typing. Tap a search suggestion or press the Search button.

3 Browse search results

The search results screen is excellent and is organised into sections. Press the buttons at the top or swipe up/down to see everything. Press a song to begin playing it.

4 Open the menu

Every search result has a three dots icon on the right to display a menu. The options depend on the item and if an artist is selected there is an option to start radio.

5 Create custom radio

Start a radio and a music playlist is automatically created based on music similar to that from the artist. Swipe up to see the playlist and drag tracks to reorder them.

6 Explore song options

Back on the search results screen, tap the three dots next to a song and this menu appears. Queue it, add to liked songs and playlists, and swipe up to see more options.
