Keep it simple
As anglers we often over-complicate things. Rigs and baits are a very personal choice, and we all have tweaks which we think give us the edge, but the best anglers tend to use very simple set-ups, and rarely change unless there is a need to. Now I’m not saying there is one rig for all species and venues, but if you took a Hybrid feeder to 99 per cent of commercials in the country from April through to October, then you would catch a load of fish on it. Find something which works for you and stick with it, refining things as you need to rather than constantly chopping and changing which will end up with you chasing your tail.
