DAIWA YANK ‘N’ BANK 950 POWER MARGIN

Originally launched a decade ago, this is the third and most recent incarnation of the hugely popular Daiwa Yank ‘N’ Bank 950 Power Margin pole and it has undergone a full cosmetic and materials makeover. The silver-on-black graphics on the 8m and 9.5m butt sections are reminiscent of Daiwa’s top-end Tournament poles. It also boasts numbered section alignment, top kits with pre-bore reinforcements for drilling and fitting pulling kits, and decent-sized 4mm internal tips – although fitting the larger sizes of hollow elastic (it’s rated to 20-plus) does mean trimming a little off the tip ends. The pole is reasonably light and certainly doesn’t disappoint in the power department as its seven super-strong sections have impenetrable wall strength that almost beggars belief when put under pressure.
