USING POLE ROLLERS
LEARNING to use a pole roller correctly should be a priority of any pole angler. They speed up the business of shipping in and out, and prevent your valuable carbon from being damaged. If you regularly fish at 13m or longer, then you should set up two rollers. This alleviates the risk of breakage when the wind blows the pole from a single roller, or when the weight of the pole hanging over the roller’s edge becomes too much for the supporting section, usually a No.6 or No.7 section.
