I live in an area of East Lon­don called Bow which, since hav­ing my son, has be­come like a vil­lage to me. I love that in a big city like Lon­don you can feel anony­mous, but it’s also been lovely to see an­other side to the city.

I think I have two op­pos­ing sides to my style too. One is a drive to­wards min­i­mal­ism – sim­ple forms and clean, calm tones – and the other is a fas­ci­na­tion with full-on pat­tern and tex­ture, folky orals and bold colours. My favourite kinds of de­sign com­bine the two – like an exquisitely stylish grey sofa with a cou­ple of heav­ily em­broi­dered cush­ions. My own home dé­cor and per­sonal style is
