13 NOVEM­BER It’s World Kind­ness Day, so take a mo­ment to be kind to your­self and oth­ers. It’s in­spired by the Small Kind­ness Move­ment, born in Ja­pan in 1963, when Tokyo Univer­sity pres­i­dent Mr Seiji Kaya started a cru­sade to get ev­ery­one to prac­tice a lit­tle act of kind­ness. He hoped that by start­ing small, it would one day spread and make kind­ness a norm in so­ci­ety.
