SIMON IS IN SHOCK AT HIS DAD’S BEHAVIOUR…

-

The harsh spotlight of suspicion is turned on Peter this week, when an incriminating message puts him in the frame for Ken’s attempted murder.

Desperate Peter spends the early part of the week trying to get hold of Simon’s phone to delete a voice message he left on the night Ken was attacked. However, despite Peter smashing the phone and destroying the SIM card, Simon finds the voicemail when updating his new mobile. The horrified lad can’t believe it as Peter’s message plays and he hears his dad begging for forgiveness and explaining that he needs to get away. Unsure of what to do, Simon plays the message for Leanne and Nick… “It certainly looks bad for Peter,” sighs our Street insider. “Nick goes to Peter and Toyah, and demands that Peter explain himself. Even Toyah fears that he might have been responsible. Peter knows he’s been caught out and claims that he’s going to tell them the truth. But is he spinning everyone a line?” Peter explains that he was at Chloe’s that night to make clear that he wasn’t interested in her, but she smashed up the place and cut herself, warning she’d report him for assault. Fearing she would ruin his life, Peter says he wanted to make a run for it, certain nobody would believe his story – which is why he left the message. But he needs proof to back up his story, and unfortunately the only hope lies in Chloe.

“Oh dear! We all know Chloe’s unlikely to help out Peter,” shares our sneak.

“If he’s telling the truth, she can corroborate his version of events and give him the alibi he desperately needs.

But given their past, will this unhinged woman even consider playing ball?”
