ASTRONAUTS: DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES? | BBC2 SUNDAY

Inside Soap - - INSIDE TV -

NO. NO WE HAVEN’T. We definitely do not have what it takes to be an astronaut – but we’ve still found this to be fantastic telly. It’s fascinating to see the sort of tests that potential astronauts are put through – not just the obvious ones about fitness or their ability to pilot an aircraft, but also the ones about temperament and suitability for the long, lonely, disorienting job of working in space. This week, the remaining candidates will be tested on their attention to detail, using a simulator to attempt the delicate manoeuvre of docking a spacecraft at the International Space Station.
