Making a meal of it

Susanna Reid and Matt Tebbutt are back on the kitchen trail tonight, as they help families from across the country to cut down on wasted food – and save money in the process.

Tonight they’re in Kent visiting the Ockenden family, whose food bill has started to spiral out of control because mum Sarah frequently finds herself having to cook multiple meals to accommodate all of her family’s fussy eating habits.

Matt’s got some solutions to make things easier for the family, including a vegetablerich meatball dish for just 88p per person, and a Mexican feast to satisfy the whole family. Meanwhile, Susanna is investigating ways in which we can all reduce our vegetable spend by shopping more savvily.
