Lawyer Mark Lewis was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis when he was 25. The disease, which has no known cause, affects the nervous system, and now at the age of 50 Mark has lost a lot of function in his right arm and leg. Mark is taking part in a radical trial in Israel, which has recruited 48 patients from all over the world, and which might lead to the discovery of a cure. This documentary follows Mark – or ‘Patient 31’ – as he hopes to hear good news.
