Fit for purpose

The four celebs taking part in this Sport Relief special – Susannah Constantine, Miles Jupp, Tameka Empson and Les Dennis – all have one thing in common: they’re not at the peak of their physical fitness. So, for charity, they’ve agreed to undertake a major get-fit programme with a challenge at the end of it – but when sports scientist Professor Greg Whyte shows them a glimpse of what their final test involves (it includes thick mud, deep water and an obstacle known as “The Behemoth”), the horror on their faces speaks volumes.

The first task awaiting them is the bleep test, which will bring back memories of PE lessons for many viewers – and it’s a sobering indicator of how much work lies ahead of them.
