ONLY THE HOTTEST OF HONDAS WERE REQUIRED FOR THE EXCLUSIVE INVITE-ONLY J’S RACING ULTRA MEET AT MEGUIAR’S HQ

The 29th of June 2017 is a date that, on the surface, is pretty insignificant (apologies here if it’s your birthday!), but it’s a date that will stick in the minds of many hardcore Honda enthusiasts as the first and probably only J’s Racing Ultra Meet.

The idea came about during a Facebook chat with Murakami-san, the president of renowned Japanese Honda tuning company J’s Racing. Murakami-san mentioned that he was coming over to visit the UK for the Japfest show and asked if there were any other shows on the same weekend that he could attend, unfortunately, at the time, there was nothing.

And so, desperate to show the Japanese tuning guru what the UK had to offer, a couple of calls were placed to

J’s Racing’s official UK distributor Sumopower and a plan of action for a secret, invite-only Ultra Meet was hatched. But, while it’s one thing to get a bunch of show-worthy cars together, it’s quite another to be able to arrange a venue at short notice where everyone can congregate and peruse the metal on display. Luckily, after speaking to our great friends at Meguiar’s UK, the Daventry-based cleaning masters offered their own premises as the location. It was an excellent choice as, not only is it situated close to Silverstone, making it ideal for the following day’s Japfest show, but the attendees would be in no short supply of detailing products and expert advice should their rides not be as gleaming as they may like when the arrive.

So with the location sorted, the invites were sent out far and wide all over Europe and owners of some of the coolest

THANKS

A HUGE THANKS GOES OUT TO MAXXIS TYRES, FORGE MOTORSPORT, VARLEY RED TOP BATTERIES, ROCKFORD FOSGATE, EIBACH, J’S RACING JAPAN AND, OF COURSE, MEGUIAR’S
