'PROJECT DROP TOP' MAY BE DEAD AND BURIED, BUT THE URGE FOR A LIGHTWEIGHT TRACK ORIENTATED MX-5 WAS STILL STRONG. ENTER PROJECT 5, THE LATEST MIGHTY MAZDA TO BE RESURRECTED FROM THE ASHES
Cast your mind back a few years to the other side of the London Olympics and the cider filled summers of the 2014
World Cup, and you may just remember my previous MX-5 based project, the aptly name 'Project Drop Top' or 'The Bogey' as it became affectionately known after it was covered in a lurid Kawasaki green wrap. Its shocking green vinyl overcoat and throaty soundtrack laid down by a set of Jenvey individual throttle bodies meant it definitely wasn't shy of attention.
