LEE HUTCHY’S TOYOTA GLANZA V
Based in County Durham, Lee Hutchy has a serious sexy slice of Toyota’s dinky hot hatch, the Glanza V. From the rare 8k9 blue paintwork (one of only 5 in the UK) to the contrasting pink engine bay and the multipoint rollcage to the genuine Varis and Livesports bodywork upgrades, this is a car that screams attention. And it doesn’t shy away when you open the bonnet, either, with a full complement of WEPR parts such as the TD04 turbo, manifold, downpipe and screamer pipe boosting the 1.3-litre motor to over 240bhp! Sticking the blue beasty’s 15in Rota Grid V alloys to the Tarmac is a set of D2 coilovers, fully polybushed arms and a host of Ultra Racing braces. With examples like this, it’s no wonder these pocket rockets are shooting up in value!
PAIGE MURRAY’S NISSAN 370Z
In a luxurious shade of pearl white, Paige Murray’s Nissan 370Z is packing a pair of Stillen Gen 3 intakes, a Motordyne e370 exhaust system with ART pipes and a Southbend Racing flywheel. Topped off with an Ecutek remap, this little lot has pepped up the beefy V6’s output and necessitated an upgrade to Z1 two-piece discs all round. Exterior upgrades include Tarmac Sports side skirts, a Stillen front splitter and an Evo R rear carbon diffuser and spats making a stunning Z-car!
MATT HONEYWILL’S SUBARU IMPREZA
Dumped on the deck by an Air Lift Performance air ride suspension setup, Matt Honeywill’s Blobeye Impreza has got a strong hand in the stance game. The 18in XXR 557 alloys in black and gold suit the car perfectly, especially when tucked tight into the Karlton flared arches. The subtle bodymods are a mix of HT Autos and Chargespeed items that combine to enhance, rather than detract, from what Subaru intended. Inside, a set of Corbeau RRB reclining seats ensure Matt is supported when he lets the 330bhp tuned EJ20 loose on the twisties, a pastime that is further aided by a Whiteline anti-lift kit, roll centre correction kit and droplinks making this aired out Impreza a true performance tool!
LEE ROBSON’S HONDA CIVIC TYPE R
Another ride rocking air suspension is Lee Robson’s EP3 Civic Type R. The stunning Milano red facelift model features D2 bags with Airlift management to get the bodywork skimming the Tarmac and those gorgeous Advan SA3R threespokes tucked sweetly into the arches. Inside, a flocked dash, stripped rear and half rollcage dominate the proceedings while an M2 Motorsport Spoon-style stainless steel exhaust system adds a tasty soundtrack along with a handy boost in bhp.
TOMMY BRADY’S TOYOTA CELICA GT-FOUR
The word ‘immaculate’ gets thrown around in car circles a lot, but few cars can truly match up to Tommy Brady’s pristine OEM white Toyota Celica Gt-four WRC. The extensive build has taken the last 14 months and has been a complete restoration with no stone left unturned. But this is no mere return to stock, as Tommy has been busy with a whole host of custom fabrication work which makes his cunningly concealed upgrades look like they came from the factory. Nice. One thing that definitely didn’t come off Toyota’s production line, however, are the awesome Desmond Regamaster wheels! Proper JDM wheel royalty there!
ROSS HANCOX’S DATSUN SUNNY PICK-UP TRUCK
How cool is this? Ross Hancox’s 1984 Datsun Sunny pick up truck is a seriously rare beast on UK roads, especially when it’s modified and tuned to such an extent. Ross has fitted a set of custom coilovers to lower the ride height and frame the SSR Longchamps wheels perfectly. He’s also smoothed the bodywork and added cool carbon touches such as the boot and bonnet. The engine is mint, too, and is running twin 40 Solex carburettors. An awesome piece of kit!
