Sow fast-ma­tur­ing and late-flow­er­ing an­nu­als di­rectly into their flow­er­ing po­si­tion

Move over­win­tered hardy an­nu­als to their fi­nal flow­er­ing po­si­tion

Wa­ter and feed plants in the green­house reg­u­larly

Feed seedlings and young plants which are grow­ing poorly or have pale, yel­low­ing fo­liage

Take leaf cut­tings from plants with thick, fleshy leaves in­clud­ing African vi­o­lets and se­dum

If you haven’t yet done so, cover cal­abrese and cauliflow­ers with fleece or fine mesh to keep the pests out

Sow ten­der crops un­der cover in­clud­ing climb­ing French and run­ner beans, cour­gettes and sweet­corn

Re­move the top cou­ple of inches of com­post in es­tab­lished per­ma­nent con­tainer plant­ings and re­fresh the pot with fresh com­post.
