Ce­ment a place on river­side de­vel­op­ment

Around 2,000 peo­ple have al­ready reg­is­tered their in­ter­est in the river­side homes that will breathe new life into a for­mer ce­ment works in Med­way.

Redrow Homes has se­cured plan­ning per­mis­sion to build 210 homes on an 11-acre site in Ro­man Way, Strood – close to Dig­ger­land and the Cineword com­plex.

Known as Tem­ple Wharf, the de­vel­op­ment on the banks of the River Med­way, will be a blend of prop­er­ties from the firm’s Her­itage Col­lec­tion plus be­spoke de­signs rang­ing from one and two-bed­room flats to three and four-bed­room homes.

There will be 158 homes avail­able for pri­vate sale with the first phase of flats now avail­able ‘off plan’ via Redrow’s St An­drews Park de­vel­op­ment in nearby Halling. The re­main­ing 52 prop­er­ties will be af­ford­able homes, 40% of which will be rented and 60% shared own­er­ship.

Prices at Tem­ple Wharf start from £224,995 for a one-bed­room flat.
