Back-up Ben joins Brickies

Goalkeeper Ben Bridle-Card has joined Sittingbourne on loan. The Maidstone back-up will spend the next month with Ryman League Brickies while Simon Overland recovers from a groin injury. Bridle-Card, No. 2 to Lee Worgan at the Gallagher, is set to make his debut against South Park tomorrow (Saturday). Sittingbourne boss Nick Davis, a former Maidstone favourite, said: “We’ve got Ben in for a month initially, so Overland hasn’t got to rush back. “We’ve got a good replacement in Ben. We knew of him and the reports we’ve had are very good. “Hopefully, he’ll do a good job for us and in return we give him the game time he needs.”
