Chance to try a new sport

Bowls

-

Mote Park Indoor Bowls Club hold the first of two open days this Wednesday. The club, based at Willow Way next to Maidstone Leisure Centre, welcome anyone who would like to try the game out. Tuition will be available, so this is a chance to learn a new sport. Each open day will be followed by four free sessions (either Monday evenings or Thursday afternoons) to give new bowlers the chance to make up their minds whether they wish to take up the game. The free session (10am to 5pm) is sponsored by Bowls Development Alliance, the national organisation which is promoting bowls in this country. Free tea or coffee will be provided and no equipment is required, just turn up in casual clothing and a pair of flat soled shoes or trainers. The second open day is due to be held on Sunday, October 30.
