Drink-driver
A drink-driver has been banned for three years after admitting that offence and failing to surrender to court bail. David Palmer, 30, of Hart Street, Maidstone, drove a VW Polo in King Edward Road, Maidstone, and had 76 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35. Magistrates fined him £230 and told him to pay £300 costs and a £30 victim surcharge.
